PESFA Competitive Exams Will Still Be Held Tomorrow

Prospective scholars who failed to take the exams today can still take it tomorrow at SSC Engineering Building, same time. Pls. bring the same requirements.

Acting RD Fortunato M. Bosangit, Sorsogon Supervising TESD Specialist Beth Bornas and the rest of TESDA V officials confer with First District Congressman Hon. Francis Escudero last March 16, 2005 in his office in Congress along I-CARE program. Hon. Escudero is supporting the program by initially allocating PhP650,000 to support training programs that will be initiated by First District LGUs along priority industries as identified by the local TESD or Training Committees. Attention High School Graduates: PESFA Competitive Exams

TESDA-Sorsogon will conduct the competitive exams for the PESFA scholarship on the following venues and schedule:

1. Sorsogon State College, Sorsogon City - April 18-19, 2005, 8:00 AM
2. Sorsogon State College, Bulan Campus Technology Building, Bulan, Sorsogon - April 20-21, 2005, 9:00 AM

The competitive exams is open to high school graduates who belong to low-income families and are interested to take up technical vocational courses in Sorsogon.

Requirements:

1. Duly certified xerox copy of the school card/Form 138.
2. General average grade of at least 80%.

Cong. Solis Pledges 1M for Computers To Be Used for Career Guidance

Cong. Solis pledged to facilitate the provision of 1M for the purchase of desktop computers that will be used by LGU-CTECs in the 2d district to serve students/constituents through the Career Explorer software. He also promised to encourage other congressmen to adopt a similar program.

Cong. Solis made his promise during a meeting last March 22 with PD Santos, Miss Bornas and officials of the Association of Sorsogon CTECs led by Miss Rowena Fajardo (Gubat).

Career Explorer is a program that allows users to assess themselves and be guided as to what courses to take.

CTECs in Sorsogon were trained by the Provincial Office on the installation, use and maintenance of the software on March 16-18, 2005.

AITV05 Celebrates 6th Anniversary of Campus Talk

We would like to congratulate AITV05 (although this is already late) in the 6th anniversary of its program Campus Talk. Keep up the good work AITV.

4-Day Work Week

Beginning today until May we will be observing a four-day workweek as required under an Administrative Order from the Office the President (pls. see http://www.gov.ph/news/default.asp?newsid=7866). Office transactions will be from 7:30 in the morning to 6:30 in the evening every work day from Monday to Thursday. Our office will be closed on Fridays.
